VIDEO – Classic Canoe Yawl Ethel designed by George Holmes 150 years ago. Rigging it with one of our Oz Goose sails to recreate the original Balance lug main reduced rigging time from near an hour to about 10 minutes and resolved several handling problems. Joost and Koos used three of our sails in the Lauwersmeer RAID event in the Netherlands. The 50 square foot mylar sleeve luff canoe sail on the Viola and Artemis canoes and the 105 sq ft balance lug on Joost and Viola’s Goat Island Skiff “GISwerk”.
